Juju in the Box
Magicon: A Quick Overview
Magicon is a convention in the Oslo area, launched in 2022. The con is created for nerds, by nerds.
If you like cosplay, drag, board games, roleplay, k-pop, video games or other parts of pop culture – Magicon is for you! Magicon is a place where everyone can gather regardless of fandom, age, interests and experience. It is a place where you’ll meet new and old friends, learn new things, and have an amazing time.
There will be a varied programme that will appeal to both cosplayers and people with interests in all kinds of pop and nerd culture. Our programme takes some time to confirm but we can promise that there will be cosplay competitions for all levels of experience, along with other fun competitions. And of course; innovative talks, interactive workshops, exciting stands and loads more!
Important to know!
At Magicon we put comfort and safety as our top priority. We want to host an event where everyone is comfortable and where everyone has an enjoyable experience. To make this happen it’s important that you as a parent know the following:
The Magicon organizers are super passionate about cosplay, and many of our participants spend a considerable amount of time making and perfecting their costumes. That’s why:
- It’s not allowed to touch other people’s costumes without consent.
- It’s not allowed to take pictures of costumes or characters without the person’s permission.
- The event is for all ages and we encourage everyone to participate.
- Magicon has a strict no drugs or alcohol policy.
You have to familiarize yourself with our rules and explain these to your child so they will know what to expect. This is to ensure that every guest has the best possible experience.
If your child is a minor, any issues that arise between the Organiser and your child will be your responsibility.
Magicon’s crew members are loyal and committed people who are there to make sure everyone has a great experience, but they do not have capacity to accompany individual visitors. There’s no age limit, but children under the age of 14 need to bring a guardian. Both the child and the guardian need to have separate tickets. Infants and small children that don’t require their own seat do not need their own ticket.
