MagiCon is a new convention based in the Oslo area, launched in 2022. The con is created for nerds, by nerds.
If you like cosplay, drag, board games, roleplay, j-pop, computer games or other parts of pop culture – MagiCon is for you!
MagiCon is a place where anyone can gather regardless of fandom, age, interests and experience, a place where you’ll meet new and old friends, learn new things, and have an amazing time.
We’re planning a varied schedule that will appeal to both cosplayers and people with interests in all kinds of pop and nerd culture. Our schedule is constantly being developed but we can confirm that there’ll be cosplay competitions for all experience levels, along with other fun competitions. And of course; innovative talks, interactive workshops, exciting stands and loads more!
Our goal is to provide inspiration for both seasoned cosplayers and those just starting out.
Who are we?
We are cosplayers and nerds with experience visiting and volunteering at other cons. We’ve been a part of this amazing scene for a long time, and share a lot of great memories and experiences. We’re now at the point where we want to give back to the scene by creating a new convention that offers a great atmosphere and varied schedule, and can really bring something new and exciting into the Norwegian convention scene.
Our interests and passions stretch across cosplay, board games, theater and drag. We don’t believe we’re the only people in the Norwegian convention scene that share these combined interests. Our wish is to combine all of this to create a new experience for our guests and we invite you to share this adventure with us!
Next steps
There’s a large and impressive cosplay world around us. We want to look beyond Norway and Scandinavia’s borders and give Norwegian cosplayers the opportunities to experience cosplay from other parts of the world. Our biggest ambition for MagiCon is to send Norwegian cosplay representatives to international competitions. We want to show the world the incredible talent Norwegian cosplayers can offer.
