Best known for her fantasy/horror series “Mia Myhr”, Sara Hjardar is a Norwegian comic book creator and illustrator with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and illustration from Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In 2021, Sara Hjardar won the Egmont publishing’s comic competition, which led to the publication of Mia Myhr  a year later.

Centering on dark fantasy and horror, her distinctive drawing style takes huge inspiration from artists such as horror manga master Junji Ito (with famous works such as Tomie, Uzumakie and Gyo) and legendary animator and co-founder of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki.
