Get ready for a fantastical drag show with glitter, glam and excellent vibes because Salty will be back at Magicon this year! With six years (if we’re counting the pandemic) in heels, Salty has become a well-known name in both the entertainment business and the Norwegian drag community.
With inspiration from old-fashioned drag, combined with burlesque and a big dose of good vibes, Salty has spiced up the stage wherever they have performed. With their fantastic and energetic stage shows, that both challenges you and makes you think, Salty has taken the Norwegian drag community by storm. They have performed all over the country, but it’s not only Norway that has had their eyes opened by Salty. They have performed in Iceland, Croatia and even won an international lip-sync competition in France!
The entertainment business back home has been fascinated by Salty and they have been interviewed by the radio channels P3, P4, God Sommer Norge and performed on the internet tv-show “Harm og Hegseth”. When Salty competed in Norway’s Got Talent in 2019, Morten Hegseth was also the one that gave them “the golden buzzer” during their performance. This performance was part of the National Library of Norway’s exhibition during Skeivt kulturår (“Year of queer culture”) in 2022.
In 2022 Salty was also part of the reality-tv show DRAGS on TV2. In this show the viewers got a unique look into the Norwegian drag community – and a lot has happened since then! This year Salty has finished Norway’s first ever drag theatre show! The show will premiere at Soria Moria on the 21st of June.
Salty will also be spreading the good word about glitter and positive vibes this year – right here at Magicon: Evolution. You may have heard of Salty – but Salty needs to be experienced!
