Calling all idols!
Have you ever wanted to perform on stage just like your favourite j-pop/anime idols? Now’s your chance! Magicon would like to give you the opportunity to show off your idol spirit, whether it’s in a big group or as a solo act.
As this is our first time hosting an idol show, and the first opportunity in Norway for years, we are encouraging everyone who is tempted to join! It will be fun, and we`ll take care of each other if nerves arise!

What types of performances qualify for the show?
This is a show for idol-groups, which means cover-performances based on idol-culture. Your performance may be based on both anime and real life groups that are recognizable as j-pop. Genres adjacent to the j-pop genre but which still have a recognizable idol aspect are welcome (Example: Babymetal). If you are uncertain whether your performance fits the scope of this show, feel free to contact us in advance.
Our equipment supports both live singing and lip syncing, and it is up to you how you combine song and dance. When applying, please leave a sufficiently detailed list of tech-requirements (mics, video/picture requirements etc) for our technicians so that we may ensure the best possible on-stage experience for you.
Who can perform?
Our goal is to include as many acts as possible, and give the idol fans a chance to perform on a proper stage, as opportunities in Norway have been limited for the past few years. Should our roster become fully booked, we will perform an evaluation of all applicants and select our performers based on novelty and diversity. We will also prioritize groups over solo acts, but solo acts are welcome to apply.
Please keep in mind that all group members must be at least 13 years of age.
