MagiCon is hosting the Norwegian Championship tournament on the 24th and 25th on June 2023. This will be a two days filled with tournament related events. The schedule consists of a main tournament running the Norwegian Championship format (constructed pioneer and draft), side events such as Constructed, Sealed and On-demand.
Players will be able to play qualifier tournaments across the country to win Byes, these will be posted on this page as soon as we have received the dates.
Players with a Bye does not have to play the first round in the tournament and counts as 1 win. For the players that do not win a qualifier or simply can’t attend such tournaments will have the option to buy tickets to the tournament.
The tournament structure of the Norwegian Championship will make use of the old Norwegian Championship structure with 12 rounds of Swiss over 2 days and then top 8 elimination in the formats Pioneer and Draft.
The rounds will proceed in this order: Pioneer (3 rounds), Draft (3 rounds), Draft (3 rounds), Pioneer (3 rounds) and then top 8 elimination in Pioneer.
All rounds of Pioneer in the tournament must be played with the same registered deck. Decklists are required! and a written record of life totals during play is recommended.

When is the Tournament running and what are the timings?
The tournament runs the whole weekend of 24th and 25th of June 2023

Is there an age restriction for NM?
Age restriction for the event without a legal guardian is 13.

What does the ticket include?
Spot in the roster for NM, access to the location the tournament is hosted and two Drafts.
What is a Bye?
A Bye is a free win without having to play the first round.
What formats will be featured?
Constructed pioneer & booster draft. The set drafted will be March of the Machine.
What is Pioneer?
Pioneer is a nonrotating format that features expansion sets and core sets from Return to Ravnica, forward. Constructed decks must contain a minimum of 60 cards, and can have up to four of any card in their combined deck and sideboard. Basic lands are not included in this restriction. You can have up to 15 cards in your sideboard.

Do I need to bring my own lands for Draft?
No, we as tournament organizers will bring landbases for drafting.
